Background Information

On January 1st, 2004 the Grafton Police Department extended its policing to incorporate a Police Explorers program. The addition is part of the Boy Scouts of America "Learning for Life" program. The Explorer program allows for young men and women in ages 14 through 20 to get an inside look at law enforcement.

As a Grafton Police Explorer you will be given the chance to learn and participate in the following:

"Learning for Life"

The Grafton Police Explorer Post #2476 was designed with for main goals:

  1. Gain practical experience in law enforcement.
  2. Engage in program activities centered on five emphasis areas:
    1. Career Opportunities
    2. Life Skills
    3. Citizenship
    4. Character Education
    5. Leadership Experience
  3. Experience positive leardership from adult and youth leaders and have the opportunity to take on leardership roles
  4. Have a chance to learn and grow in a supportive, caring, and fun environment.
